Difference between Gas and Steam in tabular form

Gas is a state of aggregation of matter in which a substance, under certain conditions of temperature and pressure, has a weak interaction between its molecules and adopts the shape and volume of the resident that contains it, it is a highly compressible fluid. Steam is a type of gas that is always in constant transition between the gaseous state and the liquid.

Steam is a state of aggregation of matter in which molecules interact very weakly with each other and do not form molecular bonds, which is why they adopt the shape and volume of the container that contains them. A vapor is the gaseous form of any substance that can be liquid or solid at normal temperature and pressure.

Differences between gas and steam

  • Vapor is a state of equilibrium between liquid and gas. The liquid can reach the solid state.
  • Gas is a substance that cannot become liquid and is a state of matter.
