Characteristics of amphibian
Habitat: during their early life they live in water. Later in adult life, they live in water as well as on land. For this reason they are called amphibian.
Skin: adult amphibian have a naked scale lees, thin, moist and slimy skin.
Limbs: they have four limbs with clawless fingers.
Respiration: breathing in early stages occurs through gills. In adult stages gills are replaced by lungs. In water skin is used for exchange of gases.
Cold blooded: they are cold blooded animals.
