Difference between weather and climateDifference between weather and climate

The Difference between Weather and Climate is given here. It is very common for people to use both terms, weather, The truth is that according to geography both terms have different meanings: keep reading…

Atmospheric weather

It is known as meteorological weather and it is nothing more than the state of the atmosphere measured in a short term in a specific location or area.

It depends on the synthesis of five elements of study in meteorology:

  • Temperature.
  • Atmospheric pressure.
  • Winds.
  • Humidity.
  • Rainfall

These elements are also called elements of the climate, but only when they are referred to as averages or statistical values of a large area, obtained over a long term or 30 years or more. Weather events happen in the troposphere, and in daily terms, weather refers to temperature and daily rainfall. It is driven by air pressure, humidity, and temperature differences between one area and another. It also depends on the difference in the angle of incidence of the Sun in a location, this generates a temperature gradient between the polar and tropical air, which generates strong gusts of wind. The time changes depending on the solar energy and according to the time scale used (between a day and a season)

Weather

It is the statistics (mean or variance) of the atmospheric weather of a large area taken over time intervals of years. Like the weather, it uses temperature, pressure, winds, humidity, and rainfall as key variables to obtain the most accurate result possible. The climate in an area is determined by a climate system composed of the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the cryosphere, the lithosphere, and the biosphere. It can be affected by latitude, terrain, altitude, bodies of water, and currents. suggested video: Weather vs Climate

Difference between Weather and Climate

  • Weather is the state of the atmosphere evaluated in a small geographic area in a short period of time.
  • Climate involves a statistical study of the weather over years over a wide geographic area.
